About the role

The Senior Human Talent and Payroll professional will administer the complete payroll cycle and all human‑resource processes for the company and its assigned clients, guaranteeing strict compliance with Costa Rican labor legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and process bi‑weekly or monthly payrolls, including overtime, sick leave, vacations, deductions and adjustments.
• Manage social security contributions with CCSS, INS and other relevant entities, handling hires, terminations and salary changes.
• Compute severance, bonuses, notice periods and settlements according to the Costa Rican Labor Code.
• Apply correct income‑tax withholdings on salaries.
• Coordinate with accounting for payroll journal entries and related provisions.
• Lead recruitment and selection processes from job profiling to hiring.
• Organize induction and onboarding for new employees.
• Monitor performance evaluations and improvement plans.
• Handle labor relations, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
• Maintain up‑to‑date personnel files in line with current legal requirements.
• Support the design and implementation of internal policies and organizational climate initiatives.
• Coordinate training programs and staff development plans.
• Advise managers and staff on labor‑law queries.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in payroll administration.
• In‑depth knowledge of Costa Rican labor legislation and social security regulations.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end payroll processes and coordinate with accounting.
• Experience leading recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining legal personnel records and supporting policy design.
