Senior Data Engineer - Azure Required

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Azure to design, build and optimise data pipelines for our analytics platform. The role is fully remote and open to Costa Rican citizens or permanent residents.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain scalable data pipeline architecture using Azure big‑data services.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Automate manual processes, optimise data delivery and redesign infrastructure for greater scalability.
• Develop ETL processes for extracting, transforming and loading data from diverse sources with SQL and Azure technologies.
• Build analytics tools that deliver actionable insights on customer acquisition and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with executive, product, data and design teams to resolve data‑related technical issues.
• Ensure data separation and security across multiple Azure regions and data centres.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Azure technology stack.
• Self‑directed, able to support multiple teams and products.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
