Senior Commercial Contracts Specialist (Legal Operations)

About the role

Workday is looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Contracts Specialist to join its Global Legal Services team. The role will manage the full contract lifecycle for commercial agreements, working closely with Legal, Sales, Customer Success and other stakeholders in a fast‑paced global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete contract lifecycle from intake through execution and final distribution.
• Draft, review, negotiate and administer commercial agreements, amendments, NDAs, SOWs and other contractual documentation.
• Analyze contracts to ensure compliance with internal legal policies, corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review and negotiate contract redlines with internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with Legal, Sales, Services and other business teams to structure contractual solutions.
• Coordinate approvals, signatures and execution through contract management systems and e‑signature platforms.
• Maintain accurate contract records and documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contract‑related questions, policy guidance and standard contractual language.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for contract management processes and legal operations.
• Prioritize and manage a high volume of contracts while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years managing commercial contracts within a corporate legal department, multinational company or law firm.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong experience managing the full contract lifecycle and handling contract redlines.
• Excellent organizational and project‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple contracts simultaneously.
• Advanced English communication skills.
