Senior Buyer – Medical Device Procurement

About the role

Viant is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead strategic and tactical procurement for its medical device operations. This remote position, based in Costa Rica, will support two U.S. facilities in Elkhorn, WI and Upland, CA, ensuring the timely supply of high‑quality raw materials, components, and production supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement department goals, policies, and priorities.
• Define and execute inventory strategies to meet Days‑On‑Hand targets.
• Lead multi‑functional teams and mentor junior procurement staff.
• Manage supplier performance, resolve gaps, and coordinate change requests.
• Support product launch teams and drive continuous improvement of procurement processes.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, SOPs, FDA, and ISO standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior‑level buying or procurement within a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical and planning abilities with a focus on problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with suppliers, internal teams, and customers.
• Ability to work independently while supporting remote U.S. sites.
