Senior Azure Full Stack Developer

About the role

A Senior Azure Full Stack Developer is sought to design and deliver scalable integration solutions on the Azure platform, with deep experience in Microsoft Azure, data integration, ETL, RESTful APIs and .NET Core. You will own the technical delivery for customers, work closely with architects and help lead a 5-person development team in building API and integration solutions aligned to defined OAS contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical ownership of delivery, ensuring solutions are well designed, scalable, secure and aligned with customer objectives.
• Lead and support a 5-person team through design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing delivery.
• Work with customers to understand business goals, technical requirements, integration needs and success criteria.
• Collaborate with API design architects to interpret OpenAPI (OAS) contracts and turn them into working API solutions.
• Design, develop and deploy RESTful APIs that surface real-time data from multiple backend systems, including those not API enabled.
• Build and support underlying .NET Core application services and integration components.
• Use Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Service Fabric, Azure APIM, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts and Service Bus to meet integration needs.
• Develop microservices and reliable service implementations with .NET Core and Azure Service Fabric.
• Support data integration and ETL, including data movement, transformation, orchestration and integration workflows.
• Contribute to agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Azure DevOps and application lifecycle management.
• Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and help optimise cloud applications for reliability, observability, performance and maintainability.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years as a Senior Developer.
• 7+ years of development experience within the Microsoft technology stack.
• 3+ years developing and deploying data integration and RESTful API solutions with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Fabric or Azure Data Factory.
• Agile and DevOps experience with CI/CD and application lifecycle management.
• Experience with data transformation in an ETL pipeline.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts, Service Bus and Azure data integration.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Service Fabric, including HTTP and Service Bus listeners.
• Microservices expertise with .NET Core 3.
• Good understanding of Azure infrastructure services and their limitations.
• Good to have: Application Insights, performance tuning of Logic Apps, Service Fabric and Data Factory, direct customer collaboration, and patterns such as circuit breakers, exponential backoffs, triggered retries, queues, spools and callbacks.
