Senior Administrative & Cash Based Interventions Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Administrative and Cash Based Interventions (CBI) Associate to support its Costa Rica office. Reporting to the Protection Coordinator and the AVR National Project Officer (Operations), the incumbent will oversee administrative, logistical and CBI functions for the programme, ensuring efficient and confidential handling of information.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a high volume of complex, sensitive and confidential correspondence, ensuring proper routing, prioritisation, accuracy and timely response.
• Serve as the primary reference point on procedural and administrative matters, conducting research and drafting replies to enquiries.
• Prepare briefing materials and compile information from diverse sources for the supervisor.
• Maintain the supervisor’s calendar, schedule appointments, arrange travel and coordinate visits with partner organisations.
• Review and edit publications, reports and other documents to ensure compliance with IOM’s formal and stylistic standards.
• Liaise between the supervisor and senior staff to facilitate the flow of directives, status updates and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in administrative and logistical support within an international or humanitarian context.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong research and briefing skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication, including editing and formatting of official documents.
• Ability to coordinate travel, meetings and stakeholder engagements.
