Senior Accounting Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have 1‑3 years of hands‑on accounting experience and a strong grasp of IFRS and GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger with precision.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal accounting reports.
• Support compliance with IFRS, GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and open items.
• Respond to accounting‑related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide support for audits, budgeting, forecasting and other finance projects.
• Guide junior accounting team members when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Technical high school degree in accounting or at least one year of college studies in accounting; a bachelor’s degree in accounting (in progress) is a plus.
• English–Spanish bilingual proficiency at B2 level (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
