Restaurant Team Member – Front of House

About the role

Join Le Pain Quotidien as a front‑of‑house team member and help create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest. You’ll work in a vibrant bakery‑café environment, supporting both the dining room and retail counter while developing hospitality skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive service throughout the guest visit.
• Anticipate guest needs, note preferences, and handle phone orders with proper etiquette.
• Prepare all drinks for the dining room and retail counter, including batch preparations.
• Bag, box, and arrange to‑go food and pastry orders.
• Process sales transactions following cash‑handling policies.
• Maintain pastry displays and keep all restaurant areas clean and organized.
• Complete opening, mid‑shift, and closing procedures, including daily checklists and side‑work.
• Address guest situations with empathy and escalate to a manager when needed.

Required profile

• 1–3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Flexibility in scheduling is preferred.
• Willingness to be cross‑trained in dining‑room and retail areas.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the primary language(s) of the location.

Required skills

• Experience with point‑of‑sale systems, preferably Toast.
