Renewal Manager – Adaptive Planning

About the role

Workday is seeking an experienced Renewal Manager to lead the end‑to‑end renewal process for a strategic portfolio of global Adaptive Planning accounts. You will own the renewal cycle, drive high gross retention, and collaborate closely with Customer Success and Account Executives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and proactively manage renewals for a strategic segment of global Adaptive Planning accounts, ensuring on‑time closure and minimizing churn.
• Develop win‑win negotiation strategies, leveraging value‑realization conversations to secure favorable long‑term commercial terms.
• Maintain a precise 120‑day rolling forecast, communicate renewal risk, and ensure strict process adherence for accurate pipeline visibility.
• Identify growth opportunities (upsells, cross‑sells, add‑ons) in partnership with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers.
• Resolve complex commercial, technical, or legal roadblocks and provide executive visibility into renewal pipeline health.

Required profile

• 5+ years of success in quota‑carrying sales, deal operations, or account management within a B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong autonomous work style, able to manage a large global territory with minimal supervision.
• Excellent financial acumen and ability to structure complex multi‑year contracts.
• Fluent in English with exceptional negotiation and executive‑level communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced experience with complex contract renewal processes.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or similar enterprise CRM/CPQ systems (Salesforce a significant plus).
• Knowledge of AI/automation tools for deal processes (e.g., risk scoring, quoting).
• Deep understanding of Workday Planning product value proposition and best practices.
