Remote Paralegal (California Law Firm) – Latin America

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Remote Paralegal to support our California‑based attorneys and clients throughout the case lifecycle. The position is open to candidates residing in Latin America who can work Pacific Time hours and have a reliable home office setup.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, maintain, and manage digital case files and legal documents.
• Track case milestones, deadlines, and tasks using the firm’s case management system.
• Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
• Support California e‑filing and service processes, including document preparation and filing workflows.
• Assist with discovery by gathering, reviewing, organizing, and producing documents.
• Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law and summarize findings.
• Prepare trial and hearing materials such as exhibits, witness files, and binders.
• Manage calendars, docket deadlines, and coordinate logistics for hearings and depositions.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors.

Required profile

• Paralegal or legal education (or equivalent qualification in your country).
• Prior experience supporting attorneys in a California law firm environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Experience with e‑filing and electronic service of legal documents.
• Proficiency in using case management systems.
• Legal research and document drafting abilities.
