Reimbursement Specialist

About the role

The Reimbursement Specialist ensures timely and accurate resolution of accounts receivable by processing claims, collecting cash, and handling write‑offs. You will work within Coloplast’s Business Centre in San José, supporting North American operations and collaborating with global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review, correct, and process electronic and manual claims for all payers.
• Investigate and resolve claim denials, apply contractual adjustments, and submit appeals.
• Reconcile patient collections, process refunds, and maintain detailed account documentation.
• Identify denial trends, propose solutions, and support cross‑departmental data gathering.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, legal, and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Fluent in English.
• High school diploma.
• Minimum 3 years of collections experience.
• At least 1 year in healthcare billing, insurance verification, or U.S. government medical programs (DME preferred).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and reimbursement processes.
