Receptionist – Front Desk at International School

About the role

Blue Valley School, an international bilingual school in San José, Costa Rica, is seeking a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for students, families, staff and visitors. The role ensures a welcoming, professional and efficient front‑desk service while supporting daily administrative operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet students, parents, staff, visitors and suppliers with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Answer phone calls, emails and general inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming front‑desk area at all times.
• Manage visitor registration, identification, access control and coordinate with security protocols.
• Provide accurate information on school procedures, schedules and services.
• Receive, sort and distribute correspondence, deliveries and messages.
• Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, appointment coordination and document preparation.
• Assist with student attendance records, late arrivals, early departures and communicate with parents when needed.
• Handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
