Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer provides both customer‑ and factory‑facing quality support for Resonetics. You will manage interfaces with customers, suppliers and internal teams, help transition and sustain laser manufacturing processes, and support the quality management system.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with customer quality personnel to resolve issues and handle customer complaints.
• Monitor and disseminate customer quality report cards.
• Generate process deviations, customer change notices, validation protocols and reports.
• Assist with troubleshooting production processes and the PDP process.
• Lead development of metrology equipment and maintain quality/control plans.
• Develop PFMECAs, conduct Gage R&R studies, and resolve corrective and preventive actions.
• Approve non‑conformance dispositions and analyze production and validation data.
• Participate in continual improvement and process assessment projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a regulated or start‑up environment.
• Demonstrated technical writing and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of statistical software and/or Minitab.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent engineering experience.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma methodology (Green or Black Belt preferred).
• Process validation and verification techniques.
• Gage R&R studies.
• ISO 13485 and 21CFR820 compliance knowledge.
• Statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab).
