Quality Engineer III

About the role

Abbott Vascular is seeking a Quality Engineer III to provide quality support for manufacturing and product development within its Coyol Free Zone location. The role focuses on ensuring the delivery of high‑quality medical devices and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Apply quality principles, analyze quality records, prepare reports and recommend improvements.
• Conduct inspection, verification and validation of components and materials used in development processes.
• Identify and address recurring quality or testing issues, documenting performance measures for management review.
• Interface with internal teams and external partners to resolve quality concerns.
• Plan and execute high‑level projects, benchmark internally and externally, and anticipate future quality challenges.
• Perform investigations, gather data, analyze results and communicate actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a related discipline (or equivalent technical experience).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the medical device or related industry.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B1 level).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to predict patterns and trends.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations.
• Lean Six Sigma methodology.
• Statistical analysis and data‑driven problem solving.
• Quality engineering tools and techniques (inspection, verification, validation).
• CQE or CQA certification (preferred).
