Quality Engineer III

About the role

The Quality Engineer III will be based in Abbott's Coyol Free Zone location within the Vascular Division. The role provides quality support to manufacturing and collaborates with development and improvement teams to ensure delivery of the highest‑quality medical‑device products.

Key responsibilities

• Apply quality principles, analyse quality records, prepare reports and recommend improvements.
• Conduct inspection, verification and validation of components or materials used in development processes.
• Identify and address recurring quality or testing‑procedure problems.
• Document quality issues and performance measures for management review.
• Interface with internal contacts and external networks.
• Plan and execute high‑level projects, benchmark internally and externally, and anticipate future directions.
• Investigate, test, gather data, perform preliminary analysis and communicate findings and action plans.
• Predict patterns/trends, evaluate alternatives and make recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the medical‑device or related industry.
• Intermediate command of English (B1 level).
• Quality background with knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations.
• Preferred certifications: CQE, CQA, Lean, Six Sigma.
• Statistical analysis knowledge.
