Quality Engineer II

About the role

Abbott is looking for a Quality Engineer II to join its Vascular Division at the Coyol Free Zone location. The role provides quality support to manufacturing, ensuring the delivery of the highest‑quality medical devices to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Apply quality principles, analyze quality records, prepare reports and recommend improvements.
• Conduct inspection, verification and validation of components or materials used in development processes.
• Identify and address recurring product or testing‑procedure problems.
• Plan and execute small‑size projects, perform tests or experiments, gather data and conduct preliminary analysis.
• Report findings, prepare recommendations and communicate results to internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain procedures, FMEAs and risk assessments related to compliance and product performance.
• Resolve production process deviations and non‑conformances through CAPA activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in the medical‑device or related industry.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B1 level).
• Quality background and knowledge of FDA/ISO regulations and statistics are preferred.
• Strong accountability, diligence, resourcefulness and customer focus.
