QA Engineer II – 12‑Month Temporary Role

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a QA Engineer II for a 12‑month fixed‑term assignment. The role supports product safety and functionality by applying quality control systems, driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, propose and implement low‑complexity process improvements using Lean tools.
• Support root‑cause investigations (NCRs) and develop action plans.
• Review and approve low‑impact NCR documents, quality plans, First Article Plans and PFMEAs.
• Participate in reviews of OT Core System documents and validation/qualification protocols (IQ, PPQ, IOQ, IO, PR).
• Provide quality support for key projects, defining and implementing product quality controls.
• Maintain area order and cleanliness (5S) and ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the immediate manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality or NPI.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Desirable: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and experience in the medical industry.
