Proposals Consultant

About the role

The Bids & Proposals team supports TransUnion's sales growth by developing accurate, compelling and compliant responses for prospects and clients, working across Sales, Account Management, Product, Marketing, Legal, Privacy, Security and other areas. This Proposals Consultant role reports to the Director, Sales Enablement and is remote, with occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at management's discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop responses to RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, vendor forms and other customer-facing requests
• Draft executive summaries, cover letters, solution narratives, value propositions and supporting content
• Partner with subject-matter experts to build differentiated and compliant responses
• Manage response schedules, reviews, approvals, milestones, risks and action items for timely submissions
• Maintain and improve reusable content in proposal libraries and response platforms, reviewing and retiring content as needs change
• Apply content-governance practices to improve quality, consistency and efficiency

Required profile

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of experience in proposal writing, content management, customer-facing documentation or sales support
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Strong business writing, editing, proofreading and document-management skills
• Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Content-management or response-automation tools
• Preferred: Responsive (formerly RFPIO), Qvidian or Loopio; SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Salesforce, Ariba or Scout; content-governance frameworks; APMP certification
