Production Supervisor III

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Production Supervisor III to lead manufacturing teams at its Costa Rica – Alajuela facility within the Structural Heart Division. The role focuses on ensuring safe, high‑quality production while meeting volume targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee personnel scheduling, discipline, coaching, selection and training for production teams.
• Lead initiatives to maintain regulatory compliance with FDA, TUV and other standards.
• Report quality issues immediately and co‑lead investigations and corrective actions.
• Develop and execute plans to achieve productivity, schedule adherence, quality, cost and service goals.
• Own the production area and related zones (gowning, clean corridors), analyzing efficiency and compliance.
• Monitor production line indicators and ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Prepare and present reports on production progress, accomplishments and issues.
• Conduct daily meetings with staff to discuss performance and corrective actions.

Required profile

• B.S. in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Training in human resources/people skills, quality systems and manufacturing processes.

• Regulatory compliance knowledge (FDA, TUV).
