Prin Reliability Engineer

About the role

Responsible for developing and maintaining systems that ensure the quality of products produced by machining, metal‑finishing and assembly processes. The role drives improvements in quality systems to enhance part quality, schedule performance and reduce manufacturing costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate technical reliability studies, design of experiments (DOE) and risk analysis for new designs and processes.
• Review engineering drawings, initiate changes to gauging and inspection procedures, and document all modifications in the Manufacturing Engineering control system.
• Perform PFMEA, statistical process control (SPC) and compile performance reports to identify variables affecting product and process quality.
• Design gauges and fixtures, conduct gauge design reviews, and implement improved gauging methods for in‑process and final inspection.
• Lead technical quality reviews of suppliers, recommend equipment upgrades, and mentor other engineers within the Quality function.
• Train Medtronic and supplier personnel on product requirements, quality tools and techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (or higher) with at least 7 years of relevant experience (5 years for a master’s, 3 years for a PhD).
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Medical‑device industry experience and relevant certifications (ASQ‑CQE, GD&T, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt) are preferred.
