Primary Teacher Assistant (Full-time)

About the role

Golden Valley School is looking for a full‑time Primary Teacher Assistant to support the lead teacher in delivering a Montessori‑ and IB‑inspired curriculum. This role offers the chance to work in a bilingual, international environment where student‑centered learning is at the core.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lessons and activities.
• Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supervise students during recess, transitions, and special events.
• Help maintain classroom organization and structure.
• Prepare learning materials and contribute to a positive classroom environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
• Foster positive communication with students, families, and colleagues.
• Uphold the values, mission, and vision of Golden Valley School.

Required profile

• Student or graduate in Education.
• Previous experience working with children ages 6 to 12 in educational or recreational settings.
• Responsible, empathetic, and patient.
• Committed to student well‑being and growth.
• Organized, dependable, and service‑oriented.
• Open to feedback and professional development.
• Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic school environment.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Basic knowledge of child development and age‑appropriate educational practices.
• Familiarity with Montessori or IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is a plus.
