Platform Design Engineer

About the role

CloudPay is scaling rapidly and needs a Platform Design Engineer to shape its cloud infrastructure. You will work on a global payroll platform, influencing design, security and automation across multiple services.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, maintain and design secure cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Collaborate with the Platform Operations team on complex technical challenges and incident response.
• Build and manage secure CI/CD automation pipelines.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure and processes.
• Partner with software engineers and fellow platform design engineers worldwide.

Required profile

• Experience working in agile teams and using Jira and Confluence.
• Strong understanding of GitOps, IT security (GDPR, encryption, patching, least‑privilege), and networking concepts (VPNs, VPCs, routing, DNS, firewalls).
• Hands‑on experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerisation and micro‑service architectures.
