Planner II

About the role

Planner II will be responsible for ensuring efficient, cost‑effective production of Abbott Vascular products, maintaining quality standards and preparing deliveries for customers in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain supply models based on demand forecasts (FRCST).
• Own and manage distribution centre inventory and delivery, maintaining SKU target inventory levels.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams to improve order management processes.
• Collaborate with division engineers and operations on product commitments, exception management, and new product introductions.
• Generate planning and manufacturing execution reports and ensure planning KPI metrics are met.
• Monitor inventory levels and trigger replenishment actions.
• Support new product introductions with supply‑chain readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in planning, scheduling, inventory control, or manufacturing process control.
• Proven ability in process improvement, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (functions, pivots) and strong command of English.
• Experience with planning and scheduling tools.
• Ability to balance process flow and manage inventory indicators.
