Packaging Engineer II

About the role

We are seeking a Packaging Engineer II to develop and sustain packaging solutions for medical‑device products. The role involves designing, testing, and improving packaging materials and processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in cross‑functional project teams to deliver packaging tasks on schedule.
• Plan and execute engineering tests and experiments for existing and new packaging designs.
• Analyze test data, draw conclusions, and document results in specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Create and modify packaging components for sustaining and new product development, following change‑notice procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and external vendors to ensure consistent packaging solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians and junior engineers, and support training activities.
• Stay current with packaging standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in the medical‑device field.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Licentiate degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or related discipline).
• Experience working on moderate‑complexity packaging projects, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of packaging design principles and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory and quality requirements for medical‑device packaging.
• Proficiency in preparing technical documentation such as specifications and test reports.
