Operations Finance Specialist

About the role

The Operations Finance Specialist supports financial and business objectives through accurate analysis and reporting. Working cross‑functionally with operations, commercial finance, and other finance teams, the role ensures revenue, cost, and billing issues are resolved efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Review project budgets and contract modifications to verify pricing, billing accuracy, and completeness.
• Reconcile actual billed items to budgeted line items and support contract modification reconciliations.
• Perform project close‑out reconciliations, including invoicing verification, A/R monitoring, and third‑party lab invoicing.
• Maintain internal systems for contracts and ensure timely monthly accruals to sponsors.
• Support preparation of volume rebate reports, governance/portfolio financial reporting, and forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Approximately 2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and handle high‑pressure situations.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SharePoint, VBA, SQL, Power BI, or RPA (preferred).
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.
