Molding Engineer

About the role

The Molding Engineer will develop, maintain, and optimize injection molding processes for a medical‑device manufacturing environment. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth qualification activities, support production, and mentor technical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust molding processes using scientific molding techniques.
• Propose and implement mold, equipment, and process modifications to boost productivity.
• Troubleshoot molding, material, and manufacturing issues and drive long‑term solutions.
• Create and update molding instructions for production standardization.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, evaluate tooling wear, and apply SMED to reduce changeover time.
• Monitor rejects, adjust parameters, and recommend tooling changes.
• Maintain tooling inventory and generate improvement proposals based on data analysis.
• Train and support molding technicians, process technicians, and operators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Scientific and universal molding training (preferred).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing, preferably medical‑device.
• Familiarity with GMP and ISO 13485 is a plus.
