Mid Fullstack Engineer - PHP/Laravel

About the role

UJV is looking for a Mid Fullstack Engineer to help build and maintain core systems that power its luxury travel advisory platform. You will work on a modern stack that includes PHP/Laravel, MySQL, React/Next.js and NestJS, delivering new features and improving existing services in a fast‑paced, agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full‑stack features across React/Next.js front‑end, NestJS middleware and PHP/Laravel back‑end services (admin, payments, SSO, product vault).
• Support migration of a legacy Node.js API Gateway on AWS Lambda to a new NestJS‑based platform using Redis and message queues.
• Apply established design patterns (MVC, Repository, Factory, Singleton) to produce scalable, maintainable code.
• Integrate AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude and Cursor to accelerate coding and internal workflows.
• Collaborate remotely with the team: communicate blockers, document decisions, participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Maintain basic DevOps practices, including Docker environment setup, database migrations, CI/CD pipelines and AWS deployments.
• Contribute to UX/UI discussions by providing technical insight on feasibility and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a full‑stack developer with a focus on PHP/Laravel and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Comfortable working in a remote‑first, agile environment and delivering daily releases.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns and web request lifecycles.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply domain knowledge of travel and hospitality to product decisions.
