Microbiology Technician IV

About the role

The Microbiology Technician IV will support the Structural Heart Division’s microbiology laboratory in the Coyol Free Zone. Working under minimal supervision, you will coordinate daily activities, manage inventory, and ensure the laboratory operates at the highest technical standard.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the microbiology laboratory supervisor in setting goals and objectives.
• Coordinate weekly tasks for laboratory technicians and prioritize work based on business needs.
• Manage laboratory inventory, collect raw material samples, and generate purchase orders.
• Participate in laboratory investigations such as out‑of‑specification (OOS) and growth investigation (GI) studies.
• Perform equipment and test method qualifications, including writing protocols, executing qualifications, and documenting results.
• Conduct steam‑sterilization qualifications and maintain validation status of all laboratory instruments.
• Ensure calibration of equipment and support validation of manufacturing sterilizers, CAE rooms, and water systems.
• Provide training to other technicians on microbiological test methods and equipment use.

Required profile

• Minimum supervision with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience supporting a laboratory supervisor in administrative and logistical functions.
• Attention to detail for documentation and validation activities.
