MDM Data Steward Analyst

About the role

The Analyst (MDM Data Steward) will join Roche's Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) to support the US‑based Master Data Management team. The role focuses on data stewardship, quality improvement, and enabling data‑driven business decisions across health‑care master data.

Key responsibilities

• Process Data Change Requests (DCRs) for health‑care master data.
• Perform matching, merging, and maintenance of HCP, HCO, and affiliation records to maintain a single source of truth.
• Act as Data Steward for HCP, HCO, and affiliation profiles, resolving discrepancies from internal and external sources.
• Validate newly onboarded datasets for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with data standards.
• Develop and document governance methodologies for MDM, data integration, taxonomy, and reporting.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve data‑management workflows.
• Build data products that enhance workflow efficiency.
• Provide analytical support and collaborate with stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in data stewardship or data analytics operations.
• Prior experience in the pharma, life‑sciences or biotech industry is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Practical knowledge of Python or PySpark.
• Experience with MDM solutions such as Reltio or Informatica MDM.
