Manufacturing Supervisor

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production teams, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvement across its manufacturing sites. The role focuses on maintaining high quality, safety, and efficiency while supporting a collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule production line personnel, providing training, motivation, and performance management.
• Ensure operations comply with GMP, FDA, ISO, OHSAS, SOX and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce defects, increase yields, and improve productivity.
• Maintain product traceability and accurate records in manufacturing systems such as SFA, SAP, or Kronos.
• Monitor KPIs, produce regular performance reports, and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Coordinate shift handovers to guarantee seamless production continuity.
• Participate in audits, investigate non‑conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Materials, and HR to prioritize resources and projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent technical education with experience).
• 2–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in pharmaceutical, medical, or electronics environments.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (minimum B1/B2).
• Proven ability to manage staff, resolve conflicts, and develop teams.

Required skills

• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge.
• Familiarity with FDA and ISO quality systems.
• Lean manufacturing tools and Six Sigma methodology.
• Experience with manufacturing IT systems (e.g., SAP, SFA, Kronos).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic statistical reporting.
