Manufacturing Engineer I – SolidWorks CAD Support

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer I will provide dedicated SolidWorks CAD modeling and drafting support for new product development and sustaining engineering teams in the medical‑device field. The role focuses on creating, updating and maintaining accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for components, assemblies and packaging, ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update and manage 3D SolidWorks models and detailed 2D drawings.
• Process engineering change orders (ECOs), redlines and mark‑ups to keep designs and documentation current.
• Convert legacy CAD files (PDF, DXF) into functional SolidWorks part and assembly files.
• Maintain Design History Files and ensure drawings reflect released product configurations.
• Apply GD&T standards and company templates to all drawings.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing and quality teams to verify manufacturability and incorporate feedback.
• Support BOM creation and maintenance in ERP systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of professional SolidWorks experience or equivalent intensive internship.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM tools (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Windchill) and ERP systems.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings and manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding and machining.
