Manufacturing Engineer I

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer I provides dedicated SolidWorks CAD modeling and drafting support for new product development and sustaining engineering teams. You will maintain, update, and create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for medical‑device components, assemblies, and packaging, ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update, and manage 3D SolidWorks models and detailed 2D drawings.
• Process engineering change orders (ECOs), redlines, and mark‑ups, ensuring updates flow through drawings, BOMs, and PLM records.
• Convert legacy CAD files (PDF, DXF) into functional SolidWorks parts and assemblies.
• Maintain Design History Files (DHF) and ensure drawings reflect released product configurations.
• Apply GD&T standards and internal templates to all drawings.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to verify manufacturability and incorporate feedback.
• Support creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOM) in ERP systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• SolidWorks CSWA certification or equivalent (preferred).
• 1‑3 years of professional SolidWorks experience in drafting or design support.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding and machining.
• Meticulous attention to detail in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM tools (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Windchill).
• Advanced proficiency in English.
