Manager, Project Management

About the role

The Manager, Project Management will be a key member of our company‑wide program office, driving the expansion of shared services across Thermo Fisher businesses. You will lead the execution of transition, migration, process improvement, automation, system implementation and other transformation initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional, geographically distributed project teams to achieve defined outcomes.
• Coordinate horizontal workstreams, manage interdependencies, and chair project governance bodies.
• Engage with stakeholders to guarantee timely, high‑quality program implementation.
• Facilitate ideation sessions, feasibility studies, process assessments and design workshops.
• Develop and maintain complex project plans, define deliverables, allocate resources and monitor milestones.
• Execute business transformations, automations, system implementations, migrations, transitions and process re‑engineering.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies; drive escalation when needed.
• Provide regular status reporting, communicate results and support steering committee discussions.
• Manage project changes, act as the single source of truth for portfolio health, and mentor project team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in managing large‑scale transformation or technology projects.
• Proven ability to lead distributed teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
