Maintenance Mechanic, Facilities

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic, Facilities III is responsible for executing maintenance, repair, and optimization of building infrastructure, with a strong focus on fire detection and suppression systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, solar energy, and general building repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, and testing of fire detection (panels, sensors, alarms, sirens) and fire suppression systems (sprinklers, valves, pumps, extinguishers).
• Maintain basic electrical systems and building infrastructure, including plumbing, fixtures, and minor construction tasks.
• Identify root causes of equipment and system issues, apply advanced troubleshooting, and implement timely solutions to minimize operational disruption.
• Conduct periodic inspections and monitor performance of solar panel systems to support efficiency and reliability.
• Execute assigned work orders, document activities in the relevant systems, and proactively identify maintenance needs, risks, and required repairs.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications; coordinate activities with facilities, EHS, security, process engineering, and external vendors.
• Provide technical guidance to less‑experienced technicians and supervise on‑site contractors, ensuring compliance with fire safety and NFPA standards.

Required profile

• Technical background with experience in facility maintenance and a hands‑on approach.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while applying advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with multiple internal departments and external service providers.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
