M&A and Private Equity Consultant – Accenture Strategy

About the role

Accenture Strategy is seeking a Consultant to join its Global Network M&A and Private Equity practice. You will support private equity investors and corporate clients across the full deal lifecycle, from target screening and diligence to integration, separation and value realization.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive workstream execution across complex M&A and PE engagements, including pre‑deal diligence, deal execution, Day‑1 readiness, integration, separation and value creation.
• Translate ambiguous deal challenges into structured workplans, clear deliverables and actionable client‑ready recommendations.
• Manage timelines, coordinate cross‑functional teams and ensure high‑quality outputs in partnership with the engagement manager.
• Support client‑facing discussions, leadership presentations, workshops and executive‑ready deliverable reviews.
• Contribute to RFPs, proposals, account development and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Perform functional M&A activities (commercial, finance, supply‑chain, procurement, HR, operating model) and/or tech/IT M&A tasks (technology, cybersecurity, platform due diligence, IT integration/separation).

Required profile

• 3+ years of post‑MBA experience in M&A consulting, strategy consulting, transaction advisory, private equity or a comparable deal environment.
• Hands‑on experience in functional M&A or tech/IT M&A across diligence, integration, separation or value creation.
• Strong problem‑solving, structured communication and executive‑ready presentation skills.
• Direct client engagement experience, including stakeholder interviews, workshops and status meetings.
• Ability to operate in fast‑paced, ambiguous deal environments with tight timelines.
