Líder de Portafolio CA&C

About the role

The Portfolio Leader for CA&C at BASF will own the full lifecycle of the crop‑specific portfolio, ensuring pricing strategy, profitability and market positioning align with the business financial targets such as net sales, gross margin and contribution margin.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual crop plans for CA&C, aligning with regional strategies and delivering strong value propositions in coordination with KAMs, DMs and Market Access.
• Lead profitability maximisation by defining positioning and pricing strategies per crop and country.
• Design price‑list structures, discount schemes, loyalty programmes for distributors and sub‑distributors, and customer segmentation, ensuring correct setup in ERP, Chronos and Hub systems.
• Propose and manage innovation projects (new products or commercial innovations) by identifying portfolio gaps and collaborating with CA&C Marketing, Strategic Marketing LAP and R&D LAP.
• Monitor portfolio performance using sales data, inventory status, profitability, customer feedback and market information to generate optimisation action plans.
• Act as the communication bridge with strategic Marketing and R&D to feed CA&C dynamics into project pipelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Agronomic Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in portfolio, pricing and profitability management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, R&D and supply‑chain teams.
