Intermediate Drupal Developer (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an intermediate‑level Drupal developer to join our agency on a contract basis, with the possibility of transitioning to a full‑time position. You will work on multiple client projects, designing, building, and maintaining Drupal‑based web solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain custom Drupal 9/10 modules and themes.
• Configure and deploy Drupal sites using Composer, configuration management, and Git workflows.
• Integrate third‑party services via RESTful APIs and manage data in MySQL databases.
• Collaborate with account, creative, UX, and project‑management teams, as well as client IT staff and external vendors.
• Ensure web accessibility (WCAG) and SEO best practices are applied.
• Participate in code reviews, QA testing, and troubleshooting of Drupal applications.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and analytical with strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across several client projects simultaneously.
• Experience working in an agency environment and familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Required skills

• Drupal 9/10 site building and custom development.
• PHP and Drupal API proficiency.
• Theming with Twig, custom themes, and component‑based development.
• HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript.
• RESTful API integration.
• Composer, Git, MySQL, Apache/Nginx.
• Drupal configuration management and deployment workflows.
• Understanding of WCAG accessibility and SEO best practices.
• Optional: headless Drupal, React or Vue, AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFront, IAM), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Acquia/Pantheon, Varnish, Redis.
