Hardware Engineer – Continuous Hardware Engineering

About the role

Teradyne is seeking a motivated Hardware Engineer to join its Continuous Hardware Engineering group in Costa Rica. The role focuses on released semiconductor test systems and instruments, working on power infrastructure, calibration, and high‑performance audio and digital instruments.

Key responsibilities

• Redesign instruments to correct engineering defects or replace obsolete components.
• Perform technical hardware assessments, define requirements and implementation plans.
• Capture schematics, plan and review PCBs.
• Create and execute design validation plans, including data collection and analysis.
• Design, simulate and analyze analog, digital and power circuits.
• Debug hardware down to the component level and troubleshoot using system software tools.
• Drive cost‑down initiatives, product enhancements and new feature projects.
• Evaluate and implement yield improvements and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work model and collaborate with global teams.
