Front End Engineer (React | Next.js)

About the role

First Factory is looking for a skilled Front End Engineer to design, build, and scale customer‑facing web applications using modern React and Next.js. The role offers the chance to work on shared frontend systems and optionally contribute to Backend‑for‑Frontend services in Node.js.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications with React and Next.js.
• Contribute to the evolution of a shared design system and component architecture.
• Manage shared web component packages across multiple applications.
• Translate product and design requirements into clean, maintainable code.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and mobile engineers.
• Own and improve existing frontend architecture patterns.
• Mentor team members transitioning from mobile to web development.
• Build responsive, accessible, and high‑performance user interfaces.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices.
• Optionally develop Backend‑for‑Frontend services using Node.js.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Experience delivering production‑grade web applications.
• Solid understanding of modern frontend architecture, responsive design, accessibility, and performance.
• Ability to read and work with API documentation and contracts.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
