Firewall Security Engineer

About the role

Insulet is looking for a motivated Firewall Security Engineer to join its Global Network Infrastructure team in Costa Rica. You will safeguard the company’s enterprise, manufacturing and OT environments by managing and improving firewall solutions across a worldwide network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, monitor and maintain enterprise and manufacturing firewall infrastructure to ensure security, availability and performance.
• Configure, implement and administer Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama and GlobalProtect following best practices.
• Perform lifecycle management, upgrades and patching of firewall platforms.
• Apply firewall and security policy changes through formal Change Management processes.
• Document network security architectures, configurations and operational procedures.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity and incident response activities.
• Collaborate with Network Infrastructure, Cyber Security and OT teams to enhance network resiliency.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and scheduled maintenance as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience administering enterprise firewalls and network security technologies.
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama and GlobalProtect preferred.
• Understanding of access control, security policy management, network segmentation and VPN technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
