Entry-Level Positive Pay Processor – Escrow Data Quality

About the role

This entry‑level position supports daily Positive Pay and ACH activities, helping the bank prevent fraud and unauthorized payments. You will receive hands‑on training in banking controls, fraud prevention, and compliance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily Positive Pay exception items in bank portals following established guidelines.
• Make payment or return decisions within required bank cut‑off times.
• Compare presented checks and ACH items to issued check data and supporting documentation.
• Research basic discrepancies related to amounts, check numbers, payees, or dates.
• Communicate with internal teams to confirm payment details when needed.
• Escalate unfamiliar, high‑risk, or suspicious items to senior team members or management.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of decisions and actions taken.
• Notify Bank Reconciliation of accepted ACH credits following documented procedures.
• Follow internal controls and fraud‑prevention protocols.
• Update production systems as needed based on transaction requests.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or degree is a plus.
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, banking, or customer service.
• Comfortable working with systems, spreadsheets, and online banking portals.
• Ability to meet daily deadlines and follow documented procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable, organized, and accountable.
