Elixir Backend Engineer - Remote - Latin America

About the role

FullStack is looking for an experienced Elixir Backend Engineer to join its talent network and work on U.S. client projects remotely across Latin America. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and fellow engineers to deliver high‑quality backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Build and support backend services that power mobile applications, especially React Native apps.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and ensure reliable connectivity.
• Work with legacy codebases, improving reliability and maintainability.
• Write automated tests and uphold code‑quality standards.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments (Docker), and remote development tools such as GitHub Codespaces.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven production experience with Elixir and Phoenix.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to take ownership of work.
