DevOps / SRE / DevSecOps Engineer (AWS) – Remote

About the role

Bluelight, a fast‑growing software consultancy, is looking for a senior DevOps / SRE / DevSecOps Engineer to join its remote team serving clients across the United States and Latin America. You will work on high‑impact projects, building reliable, secure, and scalable cloud platforms on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure on AWS using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Operate Aurora/PostgreSQL clusters in production, handling multi‑AZ failover, read replicas, and replica lag monitoring.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads with Docker and ECS/Fargate, and automated deployment/rollback processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability using OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and related tools.
• Conduct load testing (e.g., k6) and ensure services meet latency SLOs and error‑budget targets.
• Lead security initiatives: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance hardening, and support for SOC 2 audits.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and client‑focused mindset.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.

Required skills

• AWS services: ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3.
• PostgreSQL/Aurora administration.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerization and orchestration: Docker, ECS/Fargate.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and automation.
• Observability tools: OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch.
• Load testing tools: k6.
• Security tooling: vulnerability scanners, secrets management, compliance hardening.
• Experience supporting SOC 2 audits and secure multi‑tenant environments.
