Cybersecurity & Automation Intern

About the role

Experian is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity & Automation Intern to join its security team. This 9‑month, home‑based internship offers hands‑on experience with cybersecurity operations, automation, cloud security, encryption, data protection and PKI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with operational tasks related to cybersecurity, encryption, data protection and PKI.
• Support basic automation projects aimed at improving security processes and operational efficiency.
• Help maintain documentation, process improvements and knowledge‑management activities.
• Participate in cloud security and information‑security projects under senior guidance.
• Research, learn and apply new technologies and best practices to support team goals.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, scripting/automation, cloud technologies or information‑security principles.
• Curiosity and drive to learn new technologies and concepts.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Available to work 36 hours per week for the duration of the internship and enrolled for the next 9 months.
