Customer Representative Specialist – Operations

About the role

The Specialist, Customer Representative supports domestic and international land transportation services, ensuring customer instructions are processed accurately and communicated promptly to carriers and drivers. The role requires strong logistics coordination, decision‑making under operational challenges, and continuous communication with all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process transportation service requests, verifying pickup times, locations, equipment dimensions and special service conditions.
• Select appropriate carriers based on availability, capacity, proximity and service requirements.
• Calculate equipment arrival times, create and process transportation orders in the designated systems.
• Communicate clear service instructions to carriers and drivers and provide status updates to customers and internal teams.
• Monitor and respond to operational disruptions such as road closures, severe weather, strikes, or border delays, researching alternative routes when needed.
• Make timely operational decisions to minimize delays and maintain service continuity.
• Address and resolve customer or carrier questions, complaints and special situations with professional communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation for international transport, border crossings and traceability in system records.

Required profile

• Previous experience in land transportation, logistics, distribution or route coordination.
• Knowledge of domestic and international transportation operations and related documentation.
• Proven ability to coordinate services with carriers, drivers and customers under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret and communicate operational instructions accurately.
• Basic to intermediate English proficiency and availability to work Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm and Saturdays 8 am‑12 pm.
