Controller – Financial Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Controller to lead financial operations across multiple entities. You will oversee accounting functions, drive process improvements, and partner with executive leadership to ensure accurate and efficient financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial systems for accurate reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Manage the monthly close process and prepare financial statements.
• Oversee cash management, receivables, payables, intercompany transactions, payroll, reconciliations, and general accounting.
• Provide monthly performance metrics and financial insights to leadership.
• Partner in annual budgeting and financial reviews.
• Maintain accounting records in line with regulatory and internal standards.
• Assist with corporate federal and state tax return preparation.
• Oversee banking transactions, including ACH, EFT, and wire transfers.
• Perform additional accounting and finance‑related tasks as needed.
• Coach business leaders to optimize financial opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• QuickBooks (preferred accounting software).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
