Construction Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead complex construction, renovation and infrastructure projects for Böëna Lodges. The role bridges the meeting room and the construction site, taking projects from design and permitting through execution to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, permits and quality standards.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers and government agencies.
• Monitor and control project budgets, costs and timelines.
• Manage contractor performance, procurement and supply chain logistics.
• Navigate Costa Rican construction regulations and permitting processes.
• Travel frequently and temporarily relocate to remote or environmentally sensitive sites as required.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience managing construction, infrastructure or real‑estate development projects.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proven track record delivering projects from planning through execution.
• Strong knowledge of Costa Rican construction regulations and government institutions.
• Experience with large‑scale hospitality, resort or tourism developments in remote locations.
• Fluent spoken and written English (B2+).
• Solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to make decisions on site.
