Close & Control Intern

About the role

Join Haleon’s finance team as a Close & Control Intern and gain hands‑on experience in financial close, compliance, reporting, and internal controls. You will work in a global, fast‑moving environment, collaborating with Finance, Planning & Forecasting, Internal Controls, and audit partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in reporting financial results for the assigned market/entity, covering Sales, P&L, Balance Sheet, Headcount, and Cash Flow.
• Support compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Help prepare and validate the Balance Sheet Review (BSR) process.
• Contribute to month‑end closing activities such as journal entries, provisions, balance validations, and investigations.
• Provide data and analysis for Forecast and Budget cycles.
• Collaborate with internal control, risk management, and external audit teams (EY, PWC, KPMG).
• Respond to ad‑hoc financial requests and problem‑solving tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (in progress or completed).
• Strong interest in extracting, analyzing, and tracking financial or operational data.
• Good understanding of accounting concepts and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup formulas, data analysis).
