CADD/BIM Technician II

About the role

Ulteig is looking for a skilled CADD/BIM Technician II to support the Substation Department. The role provides 2D and 3D drafting assistance to engineers, creating accurate construction drawings and models for electrical substations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop 3D substation models using Revit.
• Maintain model accuracy, ensure compliance with design specifications, and meet project deadlines.
• Produce detailed plan and section views, construction details, electrical one‑lines, schematics, panel layouts, wiring and communications diagrams.
• Integrate BIM models with other project deliverables and keep them up‑to‑date.
• Support cross‑departmental coordination to ensure seamless project execution.

Required profile

• Two‑year technical degree in Technical Drafting or current enrollment in a related program.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant drafting or BIM experience.
• Permanent authorization to work in Costa Rica.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit (required).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred).
• Familiarity with MicroStation (a plus).
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
