AWS Platform Engineer

About the role

We are building a cloud‑native platform that empowers teams across the firm to develop, ship, and operate secure, scalable software. As an AWS Platform Engineer you will create the "Golden Paths" that simplify developers' workflows while ensuring technical excellence and strong developer empathy.

Key responsibilities

• Drive cross‑team platform initiatives, aligning migration plans and adoption across engineering.
• Design and evolve self‑service capabilities (templates, libraries, sample apps) that reduce cognitive load.
• Mentor engineers and stakeholders, establishing high‑bar standards and disciplined problem‑solving practices.
• Treat the platform as a product: manage roadmap, gather feedback, improve documentation and UX.
• Refine organization‑wide observability (metrics, logs, traces) and provide clear guidance.
• Advance AI platform services, governance patterns, and AI‑enabled tooling.
• Collaborate on GitOps, CI/CD, secrets management, and runtime standards.
• Partner with Security and Cloud Infrastructure teams to ensure resilient, secure platform patterns.
• Shape reliability strategy, including SLO/SLI definitions and incident response.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field (preferred).
• Strong curiosity and a continuous‑learning mindset.
• Ability to execute quickly with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.
• CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
• Design of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Proficiency in Unix shell environments.
